The price of gasoline and diesel in Barbados changed effective December 4 2017. Based on the historical data I collected, this was expected. Fuel prices have changed every month over the last few years and usually within the first week of a new month.
For December 2017, gasoline moved from $3.19 BDS to $3.27 BDS per litre (an increase of 8 cents, or 2.5%) and diesel moved from $2.52 BDS per litre to $2.58 BDS per litre (an increase of 6 cents, or 2.4%).
Looking back at previous data (2009 to 2017), the highest price observed for gasoline occurred in 2014 at $3.60 BDS per litre, while the lowest price observed was in 2009 at $1.74 BDS per litre.
For diesel (between 2011 and 2017), the highest price observed occurred in 2012 at $2.98 BDS per litre, while the lowest price observed was in 2016 at $1.77 BDS per litre.
